DWV wins Team of the Year

After what was a difficult introduction at DWV due to Covid-19 restrictions, the DWV team based in Leeds has now been awarded Team of the Year by Car Care Plan.

Back in March 2020, a brand-new team joined DWV at the head office, and two weeks later they were unfortunately sent home due to lockdown. They had undertaken minimal training, and had no practical experience or physical on the job coaching or supervision, meaning they were not as up to speed as DWV had originally planned for.

However, the company powered through during the lockdowns of 2020 and 2021, and our team was able to come together and work within the limits, promoting the services of DWV and being excellent ambassadors for the company.

Chris Wood, DWV Managing Director says “Despite how new the team was, they worked well collectively, found ways to help each other via Microsoft Teams, and went out of their way to help improve and grow the business. As of yet, they have not all been together in the office, and some have not seen each other for 18 months; some of them haven’t even met! Despite this, they are the most friendly, helpful and professional team I have ever worked with, and nobody deserves this award more than them.

By overcoming the obstacles in front of them, the team has grown closer as a result by helping one another to learn the trade, and they have been a shining example of how a team should work in a business. The day that they are all in the office together for the first time will surely be one to remember!
