MEET THE DWV management TEAM

Wasim Sattar

Head of DWV

Wasim joined DWV in 2020 as Commercial Financial Controller. FCCA-qualified, Wasim brings over 15 years of experience across various industries, including automotive, events management, industrial services, construction, manufacturing, and the arts and entertainment sectors. Having joined DWV during a period of significant operational change, including a change of ownership and resulting relocation of the business from Birmingham to Leeds.  Wasim was responsible for establishing and leading DWV’s finance team, supporting both the in-house technicians and the wider franchise network. He also provided valuable operational insights and support across the business before taking on the role of Head of DWV. In his current capacity, Wasim continues to lead the DWV business in delivering exceptional levels of service and convenience for its customers, whilst supporting continued growth sustainable for DWV’s shareholders.

Chris Wood

Specialist Consultant

With over 30 years of experience in the motor dealer/insurance/repair sector, Chris was one of the first pioneers of SMART/cosmetic/alloy wheel repair insurance products in the UK. With a strong knowledge of the business, market sector and a passion for success, Chris continues to support DWV on a journey of sustainable growth whilst delivering exceptional customer and client service.

Ross Proudfoot

General Manager – Insurance & Retail

Ross has 25 years of experience in automotive bodywork repair. He first learnt his trade by working for 18 years in a traditional body shop, before spending 7 years on the road as one of DWV’s best SMART repair technicians. Through his hard work and focus on delivering an excellent service, Ross was promoted to the role of Regional Manager and then to his current position as General Manager.

Colin Weir

General Manager – Remarketing

Colin has worked in the automotive industry since an early age, gaining a broad range of experience in both technical and sales. Colin joined DWV in 2001 as a PDR (Paintless Dent Removal) technician, servicing motor dealers, retail customers, remarketing companies and manufacturers in the UK and Europe. In 2012, Colin took the helm of our remarketing division and is focused on improving the quality and efficiency of SMART repair in fast flow remarketing environments, where volumes are high and time critical.

David Sargent

General Manager – Franchising

With over 17 years of practical experience within the SMART repair industry, David brings a wealth of knowledge and understanding of SMART repair processes. Since joining DWV in 2019 as Regional Manager for the North and Midlands, David has been committed to driving performance throughout the North & Midlands regions and supporting the DWV team in delivering top-tier repair services. David was previously responsible for managing and developing over 40 repair technicians in this region. In his current capacity as Franchise Manager, David leverages both his practical industry expertise and technical in-depth knowledge of the DWV business to help support franchisees and take our network to new heights.

Alex Stewart

Operations Manager

Working with the planning and customer service team, Alex’s focus is to guarantee efficient planning and overall performance of the company by consistently adopting new methods, and upgrading processes to help achieve the best possible end-to-end journey for a customer. Holding a BSc degree in Business Information Systems, Alex’s previous experience and qualifications include data analytical experience in various fields, knowledge of computer systems, usage, design and implementation.

Jack Dickinson

Technical Training and Support Manager

With over 20 years of experience with in the vehicle repair industry, Jack brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our team. Jack is a level 3 qualified paint sprayer and panel beater, with extensive experience in restoration body shops, insurance body shops and SMART repairs. Jacks understanding and eagerness to implement modern, up to date training techniques and modern health and safety ideas, will undoubtably help us stay at the forefront of our industry. Jack will also provide valuable support to our SMART repair technicians in resolving and technical issues that they may encounter.
