DWV is seeking to recruit a Training and Support Manager, who will be responsible for running a successful training academy, and will train experienced body repair technicians in the skill of SMART repair. Training will be delivered to the highest standards of SMART bodywork and alloy wheel repair as per business requirements, and ongoing follow-up support to nurture new technicians in the field to be the best in the business.
Job Requirements
Complying always to current health and safety requirements. Ensure that documentation is current and make changes when and where necessary to ensure H&S compliance
Develop training and induction programmes with a solid documented syllabus, to enable new starters to be inducted, upskilled and, where required, trained from scratch in SMART repair processes, ensuring they have the best start possible
Train new starters in use of company app-based systems for operational and HR purposes
Upskill existing technicians from wheel repair to paint/wheel repair
Provide practical demonstrations for visiting parties to showcase company capabilities as and when required
Manage vehicle stock and liquidation of surplus assets
Order audit and correct supplier deliveries to ensure we are fully equipped
Manage all vehicle movements in/out of head office and ensure new vehicles are fully equipped. Check functionality of spare vehicles in storage, ensure fully functional equipment, valid MOT and up to date with service recalls or repairs. Ensure all spare vans are always ready to go
Liaise with our fleet management team to make sure the fleet runs smoothly
Other duties may be assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organisation
Qualifications
A relevant qualification in body repair (NVQ/C&G/ATA), or a proven record of accomplishment in the field of SMART repair
A relevant Health & Safety qualification would be advantageous
Previous experience of training others is preferred
Experience and Skills
Extensive SMART body and alloy wheel repair experience
Ability to pass on knowledge in a training capacity to new technicians on induction
Highly organised with good planning skills
Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements within the mobile SMART repair industry
Ability to create training and repair content for use on website and social media
Ability to carry out demonstrations in front of groups of clients in an informative and professional manner
