DWV would like to welcome technician Myles to our team of ever-growing franchisees with DWV. His service will cover the regions of Cumbria and Lancashire.
In June 2022, Myles was employed as a technician by DWV to carry out work in the Cumbria and Lancashire area. He was impressed with the business setup and head office team in Leeds, and how they supported both our employed technicians and our network of franchisees around the country.
During his induction, Myles had already made the decision that at some point in the future, he wanted to be a franchisee with DWV. He then began talking with DWV Franchise Manager Steve Bramley so he could cover the finer details regarding the benefits of owning a DWV franchise, and this only encouraged him further.
Myles soon settled into the role of a DWV technician, and from his previous roles working in dealerships and body shops, he was aware of the need for a reputable and quality Cosmetic Repairer in the area, handling both dealership work and also domestic/private work. It was at the end of 2022, after eight months of being employed, that Myles started taking his interest further regarding purchasing the area in which he lived.
Following the submission of business plans, projections, and a meeting with the DWV management team to discuss his plans for growth to a multi-van operation, it was agreed that DWV would award Myles the territory, and he would transfer from an “employee” to being “self-employed”, and then to being an “employer” as his business will no doubt go from strength to strength. At the end of March, Myles officially became a franchisee, and we all look forward to seeing his business grow.
Although Myles has only been a franchisee for a short time with DWV, he has marketed proactively he has already secured regular work from two dealerships! Excellent work Myles – keep it up!
